A Very Merry Bromance Review

A Very Merry Bromance Review

I can’t seem to get enough of these Bromance Bookclub books. I only discovered them during the summer last year, and the first of the series remains my favourite. It was one of those books you finish and immediately flip back to the beginning and start again.

Each of the books focuses on the story of a different one of the men in the Bromance Bookclub. This one is about Colton Wheeler, a country music star. Colton has always been a bit of a hit or miss character for me, so I wasn’t sure how to feel about this book going in but as soon as I started reading it was like I’d wrapped myself in a snuggly, book blanket. Lyssa Kay Adams writing is familiar, funny and she even made me fall for Colton… just a little bit.

Colton’s love interest in the book is Gretchen, a lawyer whose favourite pastime seems to be self-sabotage. I really resonated with her character, perhaps in the same way I resonated with Nesta, not because I come from a multimillionaire whiskey-tycoon family. She doesn’t let people get to close to her, buries herself in work and probably fairly unlikeable to many. Not me though.

Whilst this was not a new favourite in the series (Gavin still reigns supreme) I was surprised at how much I did enjoy it. It was a wonderful festive read, and it was another one of these books that I devoured in a day.
